Safety figures to be a position in high demand during the 2013 NFL Draft. After a down year for the postion in 2012’s draft and plenty of teams in need of safety help, this class could have quite a few prospects come off the board in the first two nights of action.
2013 NFL Draft all-underrated team: Duke Williams, J.J. Wilcox sleepers at safety

Kenny Vaccaro and Jonathan Cyprien head up the safety class, but plenty of options will be available well into the second night of the draft and even into the later rounds. Here are the most underrated prospects at the safety position.
First team: Duke Williams, Nevada
I first noticed Williams in Nevada’s bowl game. He caught my eye with his combination of speed and physicality. After re-watching him a bit more, Williams has all the makings of a big time playmaker in the NFL. The main issue with his game stems from his aggressiveness, which causes Williams to play himself out of position too much. He will also need to bulk up a bit, but on day three, Williams will provide nice value.
Second team: J.J. Wilcox, Georgia Southern
The only thing small about Wilcox is the school he played for. He’s a big safety that plays the game with an edge in the secondary. While playing against inferior competition, Wilcox was dominant, and showed off the ability to cover anyone on the field. He has lapses in technique and times when tackling and in his drop backs, but with his ball skills and killer instinct, he could be in the mold of the next generation of NFL safeties.
