    NFL Draft all-underrated team: Safeties

    USA TODAY Sports

Safety figures to be a position in high demand during the 2013 NFL Draft. After a down year for the postion in 2012’s draft and plenty of teams in need of safety help, this class could have quite a few prospects come off the board in the first two nights of action.

I first noticed Williams in Nevada’s bowl game. He caught my eye with his combination of speed and physicality. After re-watching him a bit more, Williams has all the makings of a big time playmaker in the NFL. The main issue with his game stems from his aggressiveness, which causes Williams to play himself out of position too much. He will also need to bulk up a bit, but on day three, Williams will provide nice value.

    NFL Draft all-underrated team: Cornerbacks

    Spruce Derden-US PRESSWIRE

The hardest list to narrow down is the underrated cornerbacks. The position might be the deepest of any in the draft and is certainly one of the best classes in the last few years in terms of the type of pure talent the corners have from top to bottom in this group.

Wreh-Wilson is becoming more of a household name, but he is still underrated in the eyes of many. What separates him from some of the other second-tier cornerbacks is his ability to locate the football in the air and use his long arms to make plays on contested balls. His short-area quickness leaves a little something to be desired, but for the most part, Wreh-Wilson is solid at man-to-man coverage, especially when playing close to the line of scrimmage, where he has a chance to knock receivers off their routes. Don’t be surprised if he sneaks into the first round.

    USA TODAY Sports

Pass rushers are extremely valuable pieces for an NFL team. With the increase in the number of 3-4 defenses and hybrid looks, the value of pass-rushing linebackers is skyrocketing.

It can be tough to sift through the late rounds and find pass rushing gems, but here a few names to keep an eye on.

2013 NFL Draft all-underrated team: Linebackers

    Peter Casey-US PRESSWIRE

Inside linebacker isn’t the most valuable position in the NFL Draft. Often times, talent at the position can be found later, and the value isn’t always appropriate to select an inside linebacker in the first round.

We’ll dig even deeper into this year’s crop of linebackers to uncover the potential hidden gems.

When breaking down skill sets, here are a few guys that may outperform their draft position at the next level.

2013 NFL Draft All-Underrated Team: Wide receivers

    Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

Wide receiver is one of the strongest positions in the 2013 NFL Draft. Without the top-flight talent at the position, though, teams will be able to get value at the position.

The top 10 wide receivers all have the ability to make an immediate impact and could come off the board on the first two days of the draft. However, the draft runs even deeper at the position with some talented pass catchers occupying the lower tier of rankings.

Tight end sleepers in the NFL Draft

    Streeter Lecka

The tight end position is becoming a way for NFL offensive coordinators to create mismatches. Some of the best tight ends in the league weren’t highly coveted on draft weekend.

Raw is the first word that comes to mind when discussing Colorado tight end Nick Kasa. A defensive end convert, Kasa is still learning how to play the position. He’s been reliable as a blocker and has the speed to stretch the defense, but his NFL success will depend on how he is utilized and how much he can continue to develop. Kasa certainly has the skills that we’ve seen from other top tight end prospects, and the upside is there. Will a team be able to tap into that potential?

    All-Underrated Team: Quarterbacks

    John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

In the NFL, finding a competitive advantage isn’t easy. Finding value at quarterback provides an NFL team the biggest competitive advantage of all.

The 2013 NFL Draft is labeled as a weak one for the quarterback position. While as many as a dozen quarterbacks could be drafted this year, questions remain over whether there is a franchise quarterback among the group. With a bunch of quarterbacks that seemed to slow down developmentally, finding the fit will be even more important for each of these signal callers.
