Quarterback Jay Cutler is entering the final year of his contract with the Chicago Bears and the team looks as if it is in no hurry to extend him until after the 2013 season. With the very real possibility that the team could be without Cutler in the near future, the addition of a young quarterback in the 2013 NFL Draft could be necessary.
NFL Draft 2013: Mike Glennon working out for Bears Tuesday
The 6’7 quarterback is the third-rated quarterback in the SB Nation draft rankings.

On Monday night, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that NC State quarterback Mike Glennon had a private workout scheduled with the Bears for Tuesday.
Glennon was the starter for the Wolfpack in each of his final two seasons with the team and finished his senior season with 4,031 yards passing, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. At 6’7, 225 pounds, Glennon is a towering prospect that is ranked as the third-best quarterback and No. 76 on Dan Kadar’s draft rankings for SB Nation.
Cutler has been the starting quarterback for the Bears in the last four seasons after he was traded to them from the Denver Broncos. In 2012, he completed 58.8 percent of his passes with 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions to finish with an 81.3 quarterback rating.
The Bears are the owners of the No. 20 and No. 50 selections in the NFL Draft, but are without a third-round pick after trading it to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Their next selection is at 117, the No. 20 selection in the fourth round.
