2015 NFL mock draft: Hroniss Grasu to Seattle Seahawks at No. 63

Well, look who is finally here. The Seattle Seahawks gave up their first-round pick to acquire tight end Jimmy Graham. It's a smart move when your first pick is at No. 31 overall. Here with Danny Kelly of Field Gulls to make the first choice in the mock draft for the Seahawks.

Kelly: After trading away starting center Max Unger to the Saints in the Jimmy Graham deal, the Seahawks will be looking to add some talent at that position in the draft. With Grasu on the board at 63, Seattle has a tough choice to make -- pull the trigger now or wait until the end of the third? As is their modus operandi, they decide to just get their guy before he gets snatched up. Pete Carroll recently said that it would be difficult for a rookie to come in and start for Seattle immediately, but Oregon’s All-American center might just be up to the task. A 52-game starter at the position with the Ducks, he’s well-suited to quickly make the jump from Oregon’s zone-blocking scheme to Seattle’s version, and is well-versed in the footwork and assignments typical of the scheme headed up by Tom Cable. He’s smart, tough, physical, and athletic, and has all the traits that the Seahawks like at the position.

Dan Kadar, SBNation.com: There is a strong argument to be made that Grasu is the draft's top center. It's not an especially fun and sexy pick, but it's the appropriate one for Seattle. This is too early to go after a right guard, so forget that need. For the third pick in a row, I'll advocate for Stanford cornerback Alex Carter. Although Seattle added veteran Cary Williams in free agency, Jeremy Lane's availability to start the season is unknown. Carter would be an upgrade over someone like Tharold Simon as well. Regardless, Grasu is a good choice.
