Seahawks vs. Falcons: What happened with the clock at the end of the 3rd quarter?
The Seahawks appeared to lose nine seconds at the end of the third quarter on Sunday. Did the officials make the correct call?

With 17 seconds to play in the quarter, Russell Wilson hit Zach Miller for a 26-yard gain. Miller was tackled out of bounds with the clock stopping at nine seconds. After the ball was set, the clock began to run and the third quarter ended without another play. So where did those nine seconds go? As Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times pointed out, the clock only stops in the final two minutes of the second quarter and the final five minutes of the fourth quarter. In any other case, the clock is stopped when a player runs out of bounds, but then restarts upon the referee's signal.
The Seahawks could have used those nine seconds at the end of the game, but in this case the officials made the right call.
