One of the more difficult parts of the NFL season has arrived.
NFL cuts 2025: Live tracker
Tracking the roster moves as all 32 teams cut down to 53 players

Cutdown time.
All the preseason games are in the books, and by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, August 26, all 32 teams must reduce their active rosters to 53 ahead of the regular season.
That means some players are going to realize a life-long dream of making an NFL roster, while other players are set to see their own dream hit a major stumbling block. But sometimes carving out a career in the NFL means finding your right fit, and when one door closes, another tends to open.
We’ll be covering all the cuts over the next two days, and you can follow along as they happen. Below you will find links to every SB Nation NFL team site and their team-specific trackers. We’ll also have live reaction for you to the major moves as they are made.

Reaction to major moves
Shilo Sanders waived by Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rookie safety Shilo Sanders, an undrafted free agent signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was waived by the team on Sunday.
The move came less than 24 hours after Sanders was ejected from Tampa Bay’s final preseason game, when he threw a punch at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson. That ejection caught the ire of Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles after the game. “You can’t throw punches in this league. I mean, that’s inexcusable. They’re gonna get you every time. Gotta grow from that,” Bowles said to the media after the game.
Sanders faced a numbers crunch in the Tampa Bay safety, as he fought for a roster spot along with Kaevon Merriweather and Rashad Wisdom. Now he is hoping to be claimed on waivers, according to his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.
Tyler Huntley waived by Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are poised to roll into the season with four quarterbacks.
Cleveland waived veteran Tyler Huntley on Sunday. According to Adam Schefter, this has been the team’s plan, to keep Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders on the 53-man roster.
Huntley likely finds a landing spot, given the standard need for veteran quarterback’s around the NFL.
Lewis Cine waived by Philadelphia Eagles
It’s not often you see a 1st round pick from just three years ago get waived, but here we are. Cine will forever be remembered as the player the Vikings chose over Kyle Hamilton, trading back in the 2022 NFL Draft so the Ravens could take Hamilton, with a misguided belief Cine could be equally good.
The Eagles signed Cine during training camp, and he was injured in the team’s final preseason game. Released on a waived/injured designation there’s still a chance he could find a home in the NFL later this year.
Tommy DeVito waived by New York Giants
The Tommy DeVito Era has come to a close in New York.
The writing seemed to be on the wall ahead of the season, when the Giants added veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, and then drafted Jaxson Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. DeVito Mania swept the nation during the 2023 season when the unheralded UDFA rookie led the Giants to three consecutive wins, including a victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
But now his run in New York has come to an end.
According to Mike Garafolo, DeVito’s name has come up in trade conversations so he is worth keeping an eye on in the coming days.
La’El Collins cut by the Dallas Cowboys
It wasn’t that long ago that Collins was a standout offensive tackle in Dallas, but my goodness have times changed. Don’t be distracted by the name, because in recent years he has been truly terrible. A move to guard tried to accentuate his run blocking skill while removing focus from his below-average pass blocking, but that didn’t pan out.
Collins could be picked up by a team that’s truly desperate, but at age 32 this might be the end of the road.
