The NFL is officially, really, truly back. Thursday night opens the 2025 regular season with the Dallas Cowboys heading to the Linc to take on the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles in a game that should be interesting, but likely won’t be competitive.

Here at SB Nation.com we’re back to making out picks each and every week. Our panel of experts come from around the network to give our straight up picks for the upcoming season. Looking at this week’s picks there are really two to circle that are totally up in the air:
- Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers
- Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears
This is a testament for how the NFC North is totally up in the air. Most would probably agree that the Lions and Packers are the class of the division, with the Vikings and Bears a small step behind — but the fact that we can’t settle on clear winners in this game shows that the division is ripe for the taking.
