Welcome to the Week 4 waiver wire watch!

We had a wild weekend of action across the NFL and it was special teams that ended up being the deciding factor in several games around the league. Whether you won your fantasy league matchup or got absolutely smoked, you’re probably looking for ways to fortify your rosters ahead of next week. That’s where we come in.

We’ll go over some Week 3 WR performers that you should consider scooping off the waiver wire ahead of Week 4. We’ll classify a waiver add as someone who is rostered in roughly 60% of leagues at maximum. Something to note that this is the last week where all teams will be in action before byes start going into effect, so keep that in mind.

Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders (2.9%)

Sunday’s top fantasy performer was Tre Tucker, who went off in the Raiders’ aforementioned loss to the Commanders on the road. The third-year wideout caught eight of nine targets for 145 yards and three touchdowns, earning a whopping 40.9 fantasy points in PPR leagues.

A rapport is being to form between Tucker and Geno Smith as the veteran QB has targeted him 17 times over the past two weeks. That’s certainly something to keep in mind as he can emerge as a top pass-catching option for the offense moving forward.

Week 4 matchup: vs. Chicago Bears, 4:25 p.m. ET

Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers (28.7%)

The Quentin Johnston breakout season is legit as he posted yet another solid outing in L.A.‘s 23-20 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The third-year wideout grabbed six passes for 89 yards in the win and was top-five in receiving yards in the NFL by the end of the Sunday afternoon slate.

Justin Herbert is letting it rip through the air and that has allowed Johnston to put up solid numbers despite the presence of other pass-catching targets like Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey in the offense. Still being rostered in less than 30% of leagues, whoever snags him off the waiver wire could be getting an absolute steal and they could plug Johnston into their starting lineup almost immediately.

Week 4 matchup: @ New York Giants, 1 p.m. ET

Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears (18.1%)

Caleb Williams and the Chicago offense finally showed proof concept in their 31-14 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and Burden was a major beneficiary of that breakthrough performance. The rookie out of Missouri cooked the struggling Cowboys secondary, exploding for 101 receiving yards off just three receptions and a touchdown to finish as a top-10 fantasy receiver for a week.

Burden has ran just 24 routes through three games, but he’s averaging 4.29 yards per route run. It’s a very short sample size, but that’s an indicator of his ability to get into open space and take advantage of each of his pass-catching opportunities. He should be an important tool in Williams’ arsenal moving forward and should be readily available on the waiver wire for anyone that’s curious.

Week 4 matchup: @ Las Vegas Raiders, 4:25 p.m. ET

Tyquan Thornton, WR, Kansas City Chiefs (1.4%)

Kansas City’s offense has been sluggish in the early stages of the new season, but it may have stumbled into a reliable pass-catching option in Thornton. The fourth-year wideout caught five of nine targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 22-9 Sunday night victory over the New York Giants, marking the second straight game where he found the end zone.

With Xavier Worthy nursing a shoulder injury and Rashee Rice still suspended, Thornton has made the most of his opportunity and should be getting m0re consistent targets from Patrick Mahomes in the coming weeks. He’s a nice roster addition that should be right there for you to bid on off the wire this week.

Week 4 matchup: vs. Baltimore Ravens, 4:25 p.m. ET

Tory Horton, WR, Seattle Seahawks (3.8%)

Horton is proving to be a valuable hand for Seattle in multiple aspects and that was the case in the team’s 44-13 blowout victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The fifth-round rookie out of Colorado State caught a receiving touchdown for the second straight game and also housed a punt return 95 yards to put the team up 14-0 in the first quarter.

His skills on special teams boosts his value as a fantasy asset and it would be nice to have an X-factor like him on your roster. Give him some thought as you’re scrolling the waiver wire this week.

Week 4 matchup: @ Arizona Cardinals, 8:15 p.m. ET (Thursday night)
