Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the Indianapolis Colts visiting the Tennessee Titans for an AFC South battle at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
Alec Pierce start or sit: Week 3 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Alec Pierce ahead of the Colts’ Week 3 matchup against the Titans.

The Colts are off to a surprising 2-0 start and a couple of late field goals lifted them to a 29-28 victory over the Broncos last Sunday. Wide receiver Alec Pierce made a handful of big catches in the victory and he could once again be a useful weapon in this divisional showdown.
Below, we’ll go over Pierce’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 3.
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts WR Alec Pierce
Pierce had a productive afternoon in Indy’s victory last week, catching four of five targets for 68 yards. Just like last year, he remains the ultimate boom-or-bust receiver option as his 20.8 yards per catch ranks first among receivers with at least five receptions and his 18.3 average depth of target ranks sixth according to Pro Football Focus.
The bust, however, comes from him not really being of much use when Daniel Jones isn’t targeting him deep. He barely cracks the top-50 among receivers in passing snaps and routes run through two games and he’s ranks 57th in fantasy points in both standard and PPR leagues.

Sit. Tennessee’s defense has been middle of the road against the pass through two weeks, but it has done a good job of limiting big passes downfield with its average depth of target being just 6.8. That doesn’t necessarily bode well for Pierce, whose primary role is to be a big-game hunter for the offense while Tyler Warren and Michael Pittman Jr. move the chains. For those curious about his fantasy prospects this week, I say stay away.
