Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the New York Jets visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Bucs have survived two down-to-the-wire games to start the new season 2-0 and they were able to escape NRG Stadium with a 20-19 victory over the Texans last Monday night. Running back Rachaad White came up big for the team late and we’ll see if he can carry that momentum into their home opener on Sunday.

Below, we’ll go over White’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 3.

Fantasy Football analysis: Buccaneers RB Rachaad White

White took 10 carries for 65 yards and touchdown in the victory over the Texans on Monday and he ended up being the hero for the Bucs in the game’s waning moments. With just six seconds left, he capped a dramatic late-game drive by the Tampa Bay offense with a two-yard touchdown run to clinch another road victory for the reigning NFC South champions.

After a quiet Week 1, the fourth-year tailback was able to step up for the Bucs in what ended up being a good day on the ground for the offense. He, along with starter Bucky Irving and quarterback Baker Mayfield, were able to move the ball efficiently and combined for 169 rushing yards on 5.6 yards per carry. We’ll see if the veteran backup will get the same amount of touches on Sunday.

Start or sit in Week 3 PPR leagues?

Sit. The Jets were just dominated on the ground by James Cook and Josh Allen last week and I would’ve recommended White to get the start this week if not for major issues up front. Tampa Bay’s offensive line has already been ravaged by the injury bug with both right guard Cody Mauch and right tackle Luke Goedeke being placed on IR this week.

Add the fact that All-Pro left tackle Tristan Wirfs is still working his way back from his offseason knee surgery and what you’ll get is a patchwork offensive line against the Jets in Week 3. I don’t trust White to have a very productive afternoon under those circumstances, so I’d pass on him for this week.

Start or sit in Week 3 standard leagues?

Sit.
