Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will wrap up with an AFC showdown on Monday Night Football featuring the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.

The Jaguars have been one of the surprises so far this season and they improved to 3-1 with a 26-21 road victory over the injury-riddled 49ers last Sunday. Rookie wide receiver Travis Hunter made a modest contribution to the winning effort and the No. 2 overall pick of this year’s draft is still trying to find his footing one month into his pro career.

Below, we’ll go over Hunter’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 5.

Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars WR Travis Hunter

Hunter caught just three of five targets for 42 yards in last Sunday’s victory over the Niners. The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner has yet to make much of an impact for the Jaguars through four games and he has just two 20+ yard receptions so far this season. Fantasy managers correctly held off on drafting the rookie until the later rounds and he has yet to put together a performance worthy of a start.

Questions of his ability to play two ways in the NFL like he did in college have persisted and the Jags’ coaching staff notably limited him to just offense in the second half of last week’s win over San Francisco. The brain trust in Jacksonville is still trying to figure out the best ways to properly utilize the versatile young rookie, but then again, the same could be said for the entire offense under first-year head coach Liam Coen. We’ll see their approach under the bright lights of Monday Night Football.

Start or sit in Week 5 Standard leagues?

Sit. Hunter’s development is still a work in progress and while he could get more targets on Monday night, I wouldn’t bank on him breaking out against a top-10 pass defense in the Chiefs. Keep him on the bench.

Sit.
