Theo Johnson start or sit: Week 6 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Theo Johnson ahead of the Giants’ Week 6 matchup vs. the Eagles.

The Giants weren’t able to carry the momentum of their first win into the Superdome last Sunday, falling to the Saints in a 26-14 setback. The team did get a strong performance out of tight end Theo Johnson and he’s beginning to emerge as a primary target for the offense.
Below, we’ll go over Johnson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants TE Theo Johnson
The continuing progression of Johnson was one of the few positives to come out of Sunday’s loss as he finished as the third-ranked fantasy tight end for the week, catching six of seven targets for 33 yards and two touchdowns. That strong performance marked three trips to the end zone in two weeks for the second-year player from Canada.
Johnson enters Week 6 ranked in the top 10 in routes run among tight ends with 149 and his role in the offense is seemingly increasing with rookie Jaxson Dart now starting games for the G-Men. The offense needs people to step up with Malik Nabers done for the year and the rising tight end is doing his part to fill the gaps.

Sit. While Johnson’s stock as a waiver wire add is rising, Thursday’s showdown against Philly is a bad matchup for him. The Eagles have locked down opposing tight ends so far this year and as a result, are yielding an average of just 4.0 fantasy points per game to the position. Keep the Penn State product on your radars as a potential fantasy breakout, but not for this week.
