Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season is already upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the Cincinnati Bengals hitting the road to battle the Green Bay Packers at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Bengals dropped its third straight game in a 37-24 setback against the Lions last week and the Jake Browning experiment is over with the team opting to trade for Joe Flacco this week. Running back Chase Brown didn’t move the needle very much in last week’s loss and he’s trending towards being one of the bigger fantasy disappointments of the entire season.

Below, we’ll go over Brown’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals RB Chase Brown

Brown got plenty of touches in last week’s loss to the Lions, registering eight carries for 27 rushing yards along with catching seven on eight targets for 21 receiving yards. All of those touches not really amounting to much has been the story of Brown’s season so far as his production has taken a significant dip from his near 1,000-yard campaign last year. He was a consensus top-15 RB in all scoring formats ahead of the season, so this has to be frustrating for managers who selected him as their RB1 in their respective drafts.

The third-year back has struggled to move the ball and is being stuffed either in or around the line of scrimmage more often than not. His paltry 2.5 yards per carry is the lowest among running backs with at least 50 carries this season and he’s the second-worst in both yards after contact and success rate. Whether you pin the blame on him or the Bengals’ poor offensive line, it hasn’t been great and is one of several problems facing the offense as the month of October rolls on.

Start or sit in Week 6 PPR leagues?

Sit. If you haven’t already, it’s probably time to place Brown on the bench as it’s hard to imagine him suddenly exploding for big numbers as we approach the midway point of the season. And that’s not even taking into account both their matchup against a tough Packers front and the fact that Flacco is literally learning the offense on the fly. Look to your other running back options this week.

Start or sit in Week 6 Standard leagues?

Sit.
