Jameson Williams start or sit: Week 6 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Jameson Williams ahead of the Lions’ Week 6 matchup vs. the Chiefs.

The Lions improved to 4-1 on the year last Sunday afternoon, bowling over the Bengals on the road in a 37-24 victory that wasn’t as close as the final score indicated. Despite the victory, wide receiver Jameson Williams didn’t make much of an impact and his production is becoming a bit of a concern for fantasy managers.
Below, we’ll go over Williams’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions WR Jameson Williams
Williams caught just one target for nine yards in last Sunday’s victory over the Bengals. After his breakout 1,000-yard campaign last season, Jamo has been a virtual ghost for the Lions offense as he just has just one game with more than two receptions on the year as well as just one touchdown total heading into Week 6.
Known for being a big-play threat with an average depth of target of 20.76 air yards, head coach Dan Campbell pointed out this week that opposing defenses have countered this by playing shell coverage against him. The likes of Amon-ra St. Brown, David Montgomery, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Sam LaPorta have all had their big moments within the offense this year and the fourth-year wideout has been the odd man out in terms of stats. We’ll see if he can get going against a Chiefs defense that opposing teams are at least trying to test with an ADOT of 8.29 air yards.

Sit. Williams was a boom-or-bust fantasy option last season and he’s mostly busted throughout the 2025 campaign. Unless you’re in injury hell and need to fill a spot in your lineup, I’d keep him on the bench until further notice.
