Welcome to the Week 7 waiver wire watch!

Another weekend of NFL action is in the books and if you can believe it, we’re already a third of the way through the 2025 regular season. As we mentioned last week, we’ve reached the point of the season where nearly every starter-worthy quarterback is accounted for in most leagues. However, a few under-the-radar gems will pop up with impressive performances and that was once again the case this past weekend.

We’ll go over some Week 7 performers that you should consider scooping off the waiver wire ahead of Week 7 and as always, we’ll classify a waiver add as someone who is rostered in 60% of leagues at the max.

Week 7 byes: Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills

Jaxson Dart, QB New York Giants (36.9%)

The Giants suddenly have a little bit of a pulse with Dart as the starting quarterback and they made a statement on Thursday by doubling up the Eagles in a 34-17 win. The rookie was sharp with both him arm and his legs against the reigning Super Bowl champions, racking up 195 passing yards, 58 rushing yards, and two touchdowns in the victory. He already ranks in the top 10 among QB’s in rushing yards with 167 and that ability to scramble out of the pocket and make plays could make him an enticing option in fantasy.

We’re getting to the point of the season where injuries and bye weeks will begin to take their toll on fantasy lineups across the board, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a rising rookie on hand just in case.

Week 7 matchup: @ Denver Broncos, 4:05 p.m. ET

Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks (27.3%)

Darnold followed up his epic duel against Baker Mayfield with with another strong performance against the Jaguars on Sunday, leading the Seahawks to a 20-12 road victory in Duval County. He posted 295 passing yards and two touchdowns on the day and his 10.9 yards per attempt actually eclipsed his huge performance the week prior. The veteran also posted a passer rating of 121.7, which was top-five by the end Sunday’s slate for a second straight week.

Darnold has once again been cruising as a top-10 fantasy QB this season, but he’s still just collecting dust on the waiver wire in most weeks. I implore you to pick him up if you have even the smallest hint on QB uncertainty on your roster. Or just to spite your friends by making sure that they can’t get him. Either works.

Week 7 matchup: vs. Houston Texans, 10 p.m. ET (Monday night)

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers (18.9%)

The Steelers may end up winning the AFC North by default with the rest of the division falling apart and what they’re getting from Rodgers may just be enough. The four-time MVP had a solid performance in their 23-9 win over the Browns on Sunday with 235 yards and two touchdowns, resulting in his second-best fantasy performance of the season.

The veteran certainly isn’t posting anything close to his prime Green Bay numbers and he’s not really airing it deep this season. Among starting quarterbacks, he’s at the very bottom in average depth of target and is averaging just 7.8 yards per attempt. That means that he’s been getting by on short, efficient passes and as just mentioned, that formula is working perfectly for a Pittsburgh team that could have this division locked down by Halloween. Rodgers definitely fits the mold of a low-ceiling/high-floor fantasy option and honestly, that could get you over the hump in most matchups.

Week 7 matchup: @ Cincinnati Bengals, 8:15 p.m. ET (Thursday night)

Jacoby Brissett, QB, Arizona Cardinals (0.8%)

Kyler Murray was scratched from the Cardinals’ Week 6 matchup against the Colts due to a foot injury and the backup Brissett stepped in to fill his place. The result was the veteran journeymen nearly leading to the team to a surprise road win over the Colts, throwing for 320 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in a 27-24 loss. As Pat Thorman of Establish the Run pointed out, Murray hasn’t had a 300+ yard game since Week 8 of the 2022 season.

Brissett’s performance led to some scuttlebutt about him potentially taking Murray’s job, a notion that head coach Jonathan Gannon immediately shot down after Sunday’s game. However, he could be called back into action if Murray’s foot injury persists, so just keep him in mind as a potential waiver wire option over the next few weeks.

Week 7 matchup: vs. Green Bay Packers, 4:25 p.m. ET
