But head coach Brian Callahan will not be in Tennessee to see the job through.
After a brutal 1-5 start to the 2025 season -- marked with four losses to begin the year and a one-point win over the Arizona Cardinals -- the Titans have fired Callahan. Sunday’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders was the final straw, as the Titans were shut out in the first half and did not reach the end zone until three minutes were left in the game.
The final score was 20-10.
After five seasons as the offensive coordinator with the Cincinnati Bengals, Callahan took the head coaching job in Tennessee ahead of the 2024 campaign. The Titans finished 3-14 last year, landing the first-overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, where they took Ward.
Callahan’s Tennessee tenure ends with a 4-19 record.
The Titans released a statement from Chad Brinker, the President of Football Operations, noting that while the organization is committed to patience, there has not been sufficient “growth” under Callahan:
