Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season is already upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with the Carolina Panthers visiting the New York Jets at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
Mason Taylor start or sit: Week 7 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Mason Taylor ahead of the Jets’ Week 7 matchup vs. the Panthers.

The Jets are the last remaining winless team in the NFL at 0-6 and had a historically bad offensive performance in their 13-11 loss to the Broncos across the pond last Sunday. As a result, tight end Mason Taylor couldn’t follow up his strong performance from the week prior and we’ll see if he can bounce back in this contest.
Below, we’ll go over Taylor’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 7.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets TE Mason Taylor
Taylor had just one catch for two yards in last week’s loss to the Broncos in London. He was one of several Jets skill position players to suffer for Justin Fields’ abysmal performance as he recorded a franchise-worst -11 net passing yards for the day. It was certainly frustrating for fantasy managers who decided to pick him up after his breakout day the week prior, where he caught nine of 12 targets for 67 yards against the Cowboys.

Start. New York’s offense is in a bad way right now, but there are multiple reasons to be optimistic about Taylor having a bounce back against the Panthers. For starters, Garrett Wilson is set to miss this game with a knee injury and as the only other Jets pass-catcher with over 100 receiving yards this season, Taylor could be in line for more targets.
Along with that, the Panthers have the worst defensive DVOA vs. tight ends in the league and have given up the second most fantasy points to the position this season. If there’s a week for Taylor to get loose even with the offense’s struggles, it’s this one.
