Alec Pierce start or sit: Week 8 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Alec Pierce ahead of the Colts’ Week 8 matchup vs. the Titans.

The Colts maintained the league’s best record last Sunday by handling the Chargers on the road in an impressive 38-24 victory. Wide receiver Alec Pierce played a big part in the win and we’ll see if that carries over into this divisional showdown.
Below, we’ll go over Pierce’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 8.
Fantasy Football analysis: Colts WR Alec Pierce
Pierce led the team in receiving in last week’s victory over the Chargers, catching five of 10 targets for 98 yards. His took on a bigger role with Josh Downs sitting out with a concussion and he delivered, coming two yards shy of his first 100-yard game of the season. The fourth-year wideout is still mostly an explosive play target and maintains his spot in the top five in ADOT. Can he duplicate that performance against the lowly Titans?

Sit. The aforementioned Downs is back this week, meaning Pierce will most likely slide back down into the role of Indy’s fourth passing catching option. On top of that, the Titans’ defense have an explosive play rate of 5.8%, which is hovering around the middle of league averages. Pierce will most likely make a few 20+ yard grabs like he usually does, but it won’t be enough to warrant a start.
