Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is headed to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion after taking a hard hit against the Chicago Bears.

Update: Dart has now been ruled out by the Giants.

Previously: The New York Giants rookie quarterback has taken several hard hits in this contest against the Bears, including this hit from earlier in the game:

That play from earlier in the game drew a flag for roughing the passer.

The rookie quarterback was initially evaluated in the blue medical tent, but was then taken to the locker room for further evaluation:

Dart was replaced by veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, who guided the Giants on a scoring drive that was capped off by a field goal from kicker Younghoe Koo.

At the time he left the game, Dart had completed 19-of-29 passes for 242 yards.

The Giants, along with head coach Brian Daboll and fellow rookie Cam Skattebo were fined for an incident involving Dart during New York’s Week 6 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. As Dart was being evaluated in the blue medical tent for a concussion, both Daboll and Skattebo popped into the tent to check on the quarterback. The NFL and the NFLPA found that the team, the head coach, and the rookie running back violated concussion protocols in that incident.
