We break down the fantasy football outlook of Dylan Sampson ahead of the Browns’ Week 13 matchup vs. the 49ers.

Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on with a Sunday afternoon showdown featuring the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Cleveland Browns at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Browns went into the desert and knocked off the Raiders in a 24-10 victory last Sunday in a game where their defense sacked Geno Smith 10 times. Shedeur Sanders stole the headlines by getting his first win as a starter and running back Dylan Sampson was one of the weapons who played a big factor in the win.

Below, we’ll go over Sampson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 13.

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns RB Dylan Sampson

Sampson effectively iced the game for the Browns in last week’s win over the Raiders, housing a screen pass for 66 yards in the fourth quarter to put them up by 21 points. He finished the day with seven carries for 23 rushing yards on the ground and two receptions for 58 receiving yards and the aforementioned score through the air.

Sampson has gotten just a smattering of touches while backing up fellow rookie Quinshon Judkins this season, but has notably gotten most of his production as a pass-catching option out of the backfield. If you remember, he caught eight passes for 64 yards in the team’s season-opener and looked like a possible RB1 candidate for the Browns before Judkins made his debut. Several first-year playmakers for the Browns are getting an opportunity to play late in the season and with Sanders poised to start against the 49ers today, Sampson may also get more reps after his long touchdown last Sunday.

Start or sit in Week 13?

Sit. Sampson may get a similar workload as he did last Sunday but unless he houses another reception for a touchdown, I don’t think he’ll produce enough in fantasy to warrant a start. Still, these next few weeks will determine if he’ll be a late-season waiver wire add that could potentially help managers in the playoffs.
