Best DFS picks for Cowboys at Lions in Week 14

Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season kicks off tonight with a matchup of NFC playoff contenders as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Detroit Lions. Detroit enters as a three-point home favorite, with an over/under of 54.5. The Cowboys edged the Chiefs on Thanksgiving last week to keep pace in the Wild Card race. The Lions had a different holiday experience, falling at home in a seven-point loss to the Packers.

Below, we will take a look at the best DFS plays for this Thursday night showdown.

Gibbs had a down game against the Packers last week…by his standards. The playmaking running back took 20 carries for 68 rushing yards on the ground and caught three of four targets for 18 receiving yards through the air, racking up 10.1 fantasy points in the process. It was a bit of a surprise to not to him cross the goal line in the loss, but it was still a serviceable enough effort on Thanksgiving.

The Pro Bowler enters Week 14 tied for the third-most total touchdowns among non-QB’s with 13 and his scoring prowess is a huge reason why he’s averaging 21.4 fantasy points per game for DFS managers. The Cowboys’ defensive struggles this season have been well documented, so Gibby as a captain for your lineup is a no-brainer.

Prescott stepped up huge against the Chiefs on Thanksgiving and potentially saved the Cowboys’ postseason hopes, throwing for 320 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the 31-28 victory. The veteran All-Pro has been dialed in since “America’s Team” returned from their bye week, throwing for 942 yards with eight TD’s and two picks in their last three games and has earned at least 24 fantasy points in each of those outings.

The 54.5 point total indicates that this will be somewhat of a shootout and that makes sense considering that the Detroit has also been lit up through the air this season. It also doesn’t help the Lions that cornerback Terrion Arnold just got placed on IR with a shoulder injury and you’d expect the Prescott to try to exploit this all throughout the evening.

Williams did his thing against the Packers last Thursday afternoon, catching seven of 10 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown in the loss, finishing as a top-five fantasy wideout for the week. It was a huge bounce back effort from his zero-reception outing against the Giants just four days earlier and marked his biggest performance of the season so far.

Opposing receivers are torching the Cowboys defense for 34.1 fantasy points per game at FanDuel and this is certainly an opportunity for Williams to run wild at home this evening. His 338 yards after catch ranks eighth in the NFL this season and he’s going up against a D that has yielded the fourth-most YAC in the league heading into Week 14. TeSlaa hasn’t been seen that much this season, but he did make an impact in their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Packers with two receptions for 35 yards and his second touchdown reception of the season. Perhaps that earned the rookie wideout some more playing time late into the season and that could be the case with Amon-Ra St. Brown being a game-time decision with his ankle injury.

Flournoy has been getting plenty of reps as the No. 3 receiver option for the Cowboys and he chipped in three receptions for 34 yards in last Thursday’s victory over the Chiefs. He’s caught a few targets here and there over the last month, but has stepped up for a few red-zone TD’s during that period of time. With so much attention being paid to CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, be on the lookout for Flournoy in this one.

Davis came up huge in the Cowboys’ 31-28 win over the Chiefs on Thanksgiving, breaking off a 43-yard touchdown run that put them on top in the second quarter. The fourth-year back out of Florida has been getting a healthy number of snaps since being activated off the practice squad a few weeks ago and he may have locked down the RB2 role behind Javonte Williams for the rest of the season. Consider him as a quality flex option for tonight.
