Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on tonight with a battle of AFC playoff contenders featuring the Houston Texans visiting the Kansas City Chiefs at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
Nick Chubb start or sit: Week 14 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Nick Chubb ahead of the Texans’ Week 14 matchup vs. the Chiefs.

The Texans have climbed back into the playoff picture with four straight wins, picking up a huge 20-16 victory over the suddenly struggling Colts last Sunday. Running back Nick Chubb played a role in the win and we’ll see if can follow that up with a another strong effort in primetime tonight.
Below, we’ll go over Chubb’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 14.
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans RB Nick Chubb
Chubb had nine carries for 34 yards and a second-quarter touchdown that put the Texans on top in last week’s win over the Colts. The veteran All-Pro managed to carve out a decent day for himself even with Woody Marks getting a majority of the snaps and it marked his first trip to the end zone since he scored in their win over the Ravens way back in Week 5.
There was some thought about Chubb getting more work with Marks dealing with a foot injury from last Sunday, but the latter was a full participant in practice on Friday and should be good to go for tonight’s showdown. Chubb has registered just single-digit carries throughout this current win streak, so we’ll be paying attention to see if he can sneak a few more touches at Arrowhead Stadium.
Start or sit in Week 14?
Sit. Last Sunday’s touchdown was nice, but I don’t trust that Chubb will get enough work to make himself a worthwhile option in fantasy. And that’s especially the case against a Chiefs defense that hasn’t allowed much to opposing backup running backs this season.
