The Chiefs QB suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s Week 15 showdown vs. the Chargers.


Kansas City’s loss to the Chargers also eliminated them from playoff contention. After seven straight AFC Championship Game appearances and three Super Bowl victories, the Chiefs’ dynasty has been fully interrupted.
Andy Reid said Mahomes’ injury “didn’t look good,” and that he’ll have an MRI on Monday.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has exited the team’s Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers with a knee injury. He entered the blue medical tent before being helped to the locker room. Backup Gardner Minshew has entered the contest as his replacement late in the fourth quarter.
