Isaiah Davis start or sit: Week 17 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Isaiah Davis ahead of the Jets’ Week 17 matchup vs. the Patriots.

The Jets were pantsed by the Saints in a 29-6 loss last Sunday and at 3-12 for the season, they are well on track to clinching a top-five pick for the 2026 NFL Draft next April. They were able to get a productive outing out of running back Isaiah Davis and we’ll see if that carries over into today’s divisional contest.
Below, we’ll go over Davis’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 17.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets RB Isaiah Davis
Davis had a handful of touches in last week’s loss to the Saints, catching all four of his receiving targets for 52 yards through the air while adding an additional three carries for eight rushing yards on the ground. Those numbers weren’t earth shattering or anything, but it was still a decent outing for the second-year back and he’s notably getting more snaps as the team plays out the string of this season.
In fact, it came just a week after he punched in his first touchdown of the season against the Jaguars, so we’ll see if he can get another score on the board in this one.
Start or sit in Week 17?
Sit. This is an interesting spot for the Jets running back room in the final two weeks of the season. On one hand, Breece Hall is set to become a free agent in the offseason and Davis might be getting an early audition for the starting role in 2026. On the other hand, Hall is quickly approaching his first 1,000-yard season of his career and the team may go out of their way to make sure he achieves that milestone.
I think New York will make sure to do right by its starter in an effort to get him to re-sign with the franchise and and that doesn’t spell good news for Davis’ fantasy prospects this week.
