Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season will wrap up on Monday night with an NFC showdown featuring the Los Angeles Rams visiting the Atlanta Falcons 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The Falcons have long been eliminated from playoff contention, but they’re still fighting and secured a second straight victory in a 26-19 triumph over the Cardinals last Sunday. Running back Tyler Allgeier played an active part in the victory and we’ll see how he’ll continue to be utilized in these final two weeks of the regular season.

Below, we’ll go over Allgeier’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 17.

Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier

Allgeier had himself a productive day in last Sunday’s win over the Cardinals, taking 16 carries for 79 rushing yards in the victory. He evenly split carries with Bijan Robinson in the contest and actually logged a season-high 31 snaps in the contest. This may very well be the penultimate game with the Falcons for the fourth-year running back as he is set to become a free agent in the offseason. We’ll see if the staff gives him some extra carries to pump up his numbers on the way out the door.

Start or sit in Week 17?

Sit. Los Angeles has limited opposing running backs to just 1,227 rushing yards in the NFL, the seventh-least in the entire league. If any Falcons back is going to have a productive night, it’s going to be Robinson and unfortunately, that means Allgeier won’t be a sleeper option that could put your team over the top in the championship round.
