The New York Giants’ 2025 campaign was a miserable slog and they ended up finishing dead last in the NFC East for a second year in a row. An 0-3 start led to Russell Wilson being benched early for first-round rookie Jaxson Dart and Giants fans had to watch in horror as rising stars like Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo both suffered season-ending injuries.
New York Giants opponents 2026: Who’s on the schedule, how easy or hard will their schedule be
The Giants missed the playoffs in 2025. We already know their 2026 opponents and we’ll take an early look at the slate.

Continued futility led to the early-November firing of head coach Brian Daboll, meaning a new coaching staff will be in charge when the team takes the field in 2026. Whoever takes over as the new head man will have those aforementioned young weapons and rising linebacker Abdul Carter to kickstart the G-Men’s rebuild, as well as a top-five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. How fast they can get things rolling remains to be seen.

New York Giants 2026 schedule analysis
The Giants will have eight nine home games and eight road games next season pending the announcement of the matchups for the 2026 international games. The rotation will include matchups against the entire NFC West and AFC South, along with their usual six divisional games within the NFC East. Since they finished fourth in the NFC East, they will be matched up with the last-place finishers of the NFC South (Saints), NFC North (Vikings), and AFC North (Browns) to round out the 17-game schedule.
The Giants have a generally favorable schedule for a team undergoing a rebuild with just seven matchups against 2025 playoff teams on the slate. The road schedule looks challenging, but they’ll be helped by getting teams in similar positions like the Titans, Browns, and Cardinals at home. A postseason run doesn’t look likely upon first glance of this slate, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Giants improve by scrapping their way to 6-7 wins.
