Best DFS picks for Seahawks vs 49ers in Divisional round

The San Francisco 49ers head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks for the third time this year. They’ve split the regular season series, but the 49ers won in Week 1, while the Seahawks won in Week 18, which also gave them the No. 1 seed.

That Week 18 game was ugly for the 49ers who had no answer for the Seahawks defense while being unable to stop them from running the ball at will. 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is one of the best offensive schemers in the league, so I’m not counting them out, but if they look anything like the team that got stomped in Week 18, this game will be over before it starts.

Below we will take a look at the best DFS plays for this Divisional round showdown.

I don’t expect the 49ers to blow up offensively, especially with George Kittle out. That should keep the Seahawks in run-first mode while the 49ers remain easy to run on. Zach Charbonnet is going to split work with Walker and has the goal line role locked up. That makes Charbonnet a safer play, but Walker is the better pure runner and if he can hit some longer touchdowns, he could box out Charbonnet. I want that upside, but as it is, I would feel fine about playing both backs in such a good matchup.

McCaffrey was shut down by the Seahawks in Week 18, but we know the offense is going to flow through him and for good reason. He then had a big fantasy day in their Wild Card win against the Eagles strong defense despite getting shut down on the ground, as he caught two touchdown passes. He is a tough man to keep down.

Smith-Njigba has slowed down a smidge from the insane numbers he put up consistently all season, but that slow down isn’t much, as it’s just been two games since he found the end zone and three since he hit 100 yards. I’d bet on him getting it done this week.

After the running backs and Smith-Njigba, there really aren’t many touches to go around, but Barner has carved out a good role around the goal line. He has 16 targets in the red zone compared to JSN’s 15.

Pearsall missed the last two games due to ankle and knee injuries, but says he is optimistic he will play this week. He missed their last matchup against the Seahawks, but was there in Week 1 and caught four passes for 108 yards. That was ages ago at this point, but there is no doubt the team needs him with Kittle out. He’s risky because of the injury, but if he can get cleared and off the injury report, I like him at a reduced salary this week.

Juice doesn’t get enough work to have any consistency week-to-week for fantasy, but with Kittle going down early last week, he caught 4-of-4 passes for 49 yards. He also scored a touchdown two games before. He’s super risky, but so cheap that I’m fine using him if it gives you a stronger lineup all together.
