The Denver Broncos have their first touchdown of the 2026 NFL Playoffs.

And it came from perhaps the most unlikely of players.

Bo Nix throwing a touchdown pass is certainly not a surprise, after all the second-year quarterback threw 25 of those during the regular season as the Broncos finished 14-3 and secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC. But when Nix threw his first touchdown pass of this playoff cycle, early in the second quarter against the Buffalo Bills, it was backup offensive lineman Frank Crum on the receiving end:

The play capped off a critical drive for the Broncos, who were trailing 7-3 early in the second quarter and were back on the defensive side of the ball with the Bills driving in Denver territory after a long Josh Allen run. But a fumble by James Cook was recovered by the Broncos defense, giving the Denver offense possession of the football.

Which they turned into Crum’s touchdown. Here is another look at the TD, where you will see Crum selling his block long enough before slipping untouched into the flat and then barreling over Cam Lewis for the score:

It is worth noting that at 6’8, 310 pounds, Crum ran a 4.94 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. And gave us this incredible video while doing so:

Crum was an undrafted free agent last year, and today is his first playoff game.

It is already one he will remember forever.
