The Pro Football Hall of Fame has taken a bit of a hit over the last week and change, but a misstep (an egregious one to be clear) does not change that the Hall houses the greatest players to ever suit up in the National Football League. And on Thursday evening, one of the newest members of that club could be Luke Kuechly.

Luke Kuechly joined SB Nation to talk about his career, his Hall of Fame candidacy, and the people who helped and supported him along the way.
Anyone who has watched football knows that a gold jacket and bronze bust are in Luke’s future, but the subject is a sensitive one. Thankfully Luke is a kind dude and took some time to talk to us about it while out in San Francisco at the Super Bowl.
Kuechly had such an interesting perspective on it all. He noted that he obviously thinks about this with him being eligible, but there is only so much he can do. He said that more than anything it brings back memories for him of the scores of people who helped him have the career that he did.
