Carolina mustered all of 147 yards, as both Jimmy Clausen and Matt Moore struggled, averaging 1.9 yards per attempt.
Matt Forte led the way, running for 166 yards and two touchdowns, including a 68-yarder in the first quarter. Forte also led Chicago’s receivers, with 22 yards. Carolina fared much better, with David Gettis springing for 32 on the day, the game’s highest total.
Nobody knows how Matt Forte managed to travel back to 1935, dominate this game, and beam it into America’s households, but hats off to him.
