The Saints went on a Super Bowl run by breaking big plays and capitalizing on turnovers.
Week 5 NFL Scores And Results: Cardinals Force Drew Brees Into Four Turnovers, Win 30-20
The Cardinals didn’t get a whole lot of big plays today, but they definitely got the second part right.
Three defensive touchdowns and three Jay Feely field goals somewhat avenged the Saints’ hammering of the Cardinals in last year’s playoffs. Kerry Rhodes and Levi Brown ran back fumbles for scores, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie returned a last-minute pick for a why-not touchdown.
The Saints outgained Arizona by 179 yards, with only Larry Fitzgerald’s 93 yards making a noteworthy dent in the box score for the Cards.
