Mel Kiper Responds To Sports Illustrated’s NFL Agent Story

ESPN released a statement from Mel Kiper on Tuesday responding to a Sports Illustrated story published this week written by former NFL agent Josh Lucas that alleges that Kiper helped agent Gary Wichard recruit clients.

“Conversations with players, which are occasionally facilitated by agents, are a valuable way to get to know the players,” Kiper said in a statement,as relayed by Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand. “These conversations have never compromised my integrity and my 32-year record supports that.”
