Week 6 NFL Scores And Results: 49ers Get First Win, Beat Raiders 17-9
It certainly wasn’t pretty, but the San Francisco 49ers finally got their first win of the 2010 season by defeating the Oakland Raiders 17-9 on Sunday.
Alex Smith struggled early, but came on in the second half, throwing a third-quarter touchdown to Michael Crabtree and a fourth-quarter score to Vernon Davis to erase an early 6-0 Raiders lead. Smith’s job was made infinitely easier by a very strong performance from running back Frank Gore, who rushed for 149 yards on 25 carries.

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Atlanta Falcons 31-17 in Philadelphia, PA. DeSean Jackson scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, one on an end-around and one through the air, to help the Eagles to a 14-0 lead. Jackson would soon leave the game, though, because of a hit by Falcons defensive back Dunta Robinson, who was called for a personal foul for hitting a defenseless player.
Kevin Kolb torched the Falcons secondary, throwing 23/29 for 326 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Jeremy Maclin benefited most from Kolb’s huge day through the air, recording 159 receiving yards on 7 catches and had 2 touchdowns to go with them.
