Colts Vs. Redskins: Three Indianapolis Fumbles Keep It Close, But ‘Skins Can’t Close The Gap

The Redskins have been unable to catch interceptions on Sunday night, but the team has been getting the benefit of fumbles in the turnover department. Three times, the Redskins have recovered Colts fumbles.

One was on a strip sack by Brian Orakpo on Peyton Manning. The second was on a punt return error by Kenny Moore and the third came from Joseph Addai when he was hit in the helmet by a Redskins defender inside the red zone. The ball squirted loose and Washington recovered.

Of course, the fumbles have been the only way the Redskins have held the Colts to no points other than getting the benefit of two Adam Vinatieri missed field goals. So far, Pat McAfee has only punted the ball twice tonight. Something to keep in mind as the Redskins take their sweet time on this drive to close to game to a one-score affair.
