The Carolina Panthers are in the midst of a rebuilding year but they won't be trading away one of their most valuable assets.
NFL Trade Rumors: Steve Smith Is Not Available For Trade
In the same week that the Panthers reportedly told teams RB Jonathan Stewart and RB DeAngelo Williams are not available via trade, they're also telling teams that WR Steve Smith is not on the market, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He writes that they will not trade him "under any circumstance."
I can see both sides of this one. On the one hand, you want all the weapons you can get for your rookie QB. On the other hand, you’re in a rebuilding year and need to stockpile draft picks.
Schefter reports that there have been teams that have called about Schefter.
