Kevin Kolb Will Start Week 7 Vs. Titans; Michael Vick Will Be Backup

Eagles head coach Andy Reid confirmed on Wednesday that Kevin Kolb would start Sunday's game against the Titans. The setup sounds to be similar to last week when Kolb was the starter and Michael Vick was a backup.

The news shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since Reid said earlier this week that there’s a “pretty good chance” Kolb will start.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network writes that he expects Vick should be able to see some action as he recovers from a rib injury. Initial reports on Vick had him missing several weeks. Sunday’s game, if he does not play, will be the third game he’s missed.

Kolb meanwhile has been fantastic in relief even garnering NFC player of the week honors for the second time in his fifth career start.

The Eagles have a bye in Week 8 so they could choose to sit Vick and get him another full week of rest.
