Atlanta's Roddy White has seemed poised to have a "breakout" season in nearly every season since he's entered the NFL. Today, he might be having a game for the record books.
Roddy White Abusing Bengals Secondary, On Pace For NFL Single-Game Record In Receiving Yards
↵
Through just under 20 minutes of game clock in the Falcons' game against the Bengals, White has six catches for 157 yards and a touchdown. Do a little bit of extrapolation, and he's on pace for 18 catches, over 400 yards, and three touchdowns; the catches and touchdowns wouldn't be NFL records, but the yardage would obliterate the NFL single-game receiving yards record set by Miami's Flipper Anderson in 1989.
↵Even mentioning the pace he’s setting is probably guaranteed to jinx White in some observers’ eyes, though. Please accept my apologies, fantasy owners of Roddy White, and console yourselves with the absurd pile of points he’s already racked up for you.
