Falcons WR Roddy White piled up 201 yards, two touchdowns, and a two-point conversion. Bengals QB Carson Palmer threw for 412 and three scores. Falcons RB Michael Turner ran for 111, scoring twice. Bengals WRs Jordan Shipley and Chad Ochocinco both went triple digits, with Terrell Owens following closely behind at 88. Falcons QB Matt Ryan fell a yard shy of 300, but threw three touchdowns of his own. Even Bengals CB Adam Jones scored, forcing a White fumble and running it 50 yards into the end zone.

It was that kind of day in the Georgia Dome. The Falcons played bend-don’t-break all day, giving the Bengals’ big receivers cushions in every direction, while White pulled in highlight catch after highlight catch.
As for defense, well… Falcons DE John Abraham sacked Palmer twice and hit him a few more times, and Jones did that fumble thing. Bengals CB Leon Hall skied for a flashy interception. But that’s about it. This was a shootout entirely worthy of Gus Johnson.
