Week 7 NFL Scores And Results: Dolphins Can’t Hold, Steelers Win 23-22

Dolphins K Dan Carpenter kicked his fifth field goal to give Miami the lead with five to go, but Steelers K Jeff Reed kicked his third three minutes later, saving an ugly game for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers opened with back-to-back fumbles that Miami converted into field goals, but Pittsburgh’s run defense and Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger’s passing soon put Miami in a hole. Then a lot of back-and-forth field goal kicking happened.

Roethlisberger threw for 302, 131 of them to Steelers WR Hines Ward, while Dolphins QB Chad Henne countered with 257 of his own. Neither running game did much of anything, but it’s nice to mention them anyway.
