Bears Vs. Giants: New York Storms Down The Field For Double Digit Lead
With little in the form of offense occurring in this game, the Giants finally put a long scoring drive together in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 10-0. With Jay Cutler not returning from the locker room after suffering a concussion on the penultimate play of the first half, the Bears continued to struggle to move the ball early in the second half.
Receiving the ball with about eight minutes left in the third quarter, the Giants pulled off an eight-play, 90-yard drive in five minutes to push to lead to 10 with about three minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Bears responded a few drives later with a drive deep into Giants’ territory, but Todd Collins threw an interception deep over the middle.
