One of the quirks of the trade that sent Randy Moss to Minnesota is that he'll get to face the entire AFC East later this year. And because New England's already faced each team, Moss will be lining up against the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins twice this season. Naturally, this means Darrelle Revis gets to continue yapping about him.
Randy Moss May Be Leaving The AFC East, But His Feud With Darrelle Revis Continues
“He came out full force, early in the game,” Revis said. “In the second half, you could tell he was kind of like putting his foot on the brake. But everybody knows that’s Randy: sometimes he plays 100 percent, sometimes he doesn’t.“Wait, didn’t something rather embarrassing happen to Revis when Moss was at full force?
Oh, yeah. That.
For his part, Moss is talking himself up, too, speaking at a press conference in Minnesota today.
Moss said he "just wants to be a piece in the puzzle." "Of course I've lost a step, but me losing a step is still faster than anybody else."
Moss’ presser as a whole was interesting — check out his speculation about the infamous “sex boat” incident:
Minnesota writers realizing why Moss is fun/maddening to cover: "What if I'd been on that boat, there'd really be some problems."
In any case, it’s likely that Revis will get a second chance against Moss on Monday night: he’s listed as probable after missing the last two games with a strained hamstring sustained on that Week 2 touchdown pass. We can only hope that someone decisively wins the on-field competition so the wearying war of words off of it can cease.
