The St. Louis Rams will meet the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10 in a game that surprisingly may mean something in the NFC West. The 49ers were off to a terrible start this season but, thanks to the NFC West, stand only two games out of first place. One of those teams in first place is the Rams sporting a 4-4 record after winning just one game in 2009.
NFL Week 10 Picks: St. Louis Rams Vs. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers enter the game with Troy Smith at QB. He's coming off of a decent performance against the Broncos in a Week 8 victory. The 49ers biggest threat is Frank Gore. The offense seems to move much better when he's playing well so I imagine that remains the priority. The Rams are relatively strong stopping the run so that will be a matchup to watch.
The Rams offense, like the 49ers, is slanted a little to the running back, Steven Jackson. But people have been impressed with Sam Bradford, whose averaging a little over 200 yards per game and has 11 TDs and eight interceptions on the season.
The 49ers are six point favorites at home, which is a little surprising if you look at how they started the season. They’ve been rebounding in recent weeks. I’m taking the 49ers but by less than six points.
