The second quarter was much less interesting, from an offensive point of view, than the first quarter for the Tennessee Titans and the Miami Dolphins. Only a 23 yard field goal by Dolphins kicker Dan Carpenter kept the quarter from being scoreless after the Titans and Dolphins combined for 17 points in the first quarter.
Titans And Dolphins Tied 10-10 At Half
Brandon Marshall continued his poor day, catching only 1 ball for 8 yards and basically remaining as a non-impact player for the Dolphins. On the other hand, fellow wide receiver Brian Hartline goes into the half having 4 receptions for 91 yards and a long of 54 yards, for an average of 22.8 yards per catch. Despite rushing for a touchdown, Ronnie Brown has only 4 yards on 8 carries for a dismal 0.5 yards per rush.
The Titans have been pitiful in the passing game, as Kerry Collins is 9-20 for 51 yards and 0 touchdowns or interceptions. Randy Moss, who was supposed to fill in for the injured Kenny Britt, has no catches so far in the game. Chris Johnson has buoyed the Titans offense, rushing 11 times for 82 yards and 1 touchdown.
