The Indianapolis Colts ambled to a 17-0 early lead over the Cincinnati Bengals, then stuck around for a 23-17 victory as a late Carson Palmer touchdown pass made it look closer than it was. With only one offensive touchdown, by RB Javarris James, the Colts left most of their scoring to kicker Adam Vinatieri, who hit all three of his attempts. Former backup TE Jacob Tamme led the Colts offense with 73 yards on seven catches. Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco might have had his best game since week one, with 86 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets.
The 2-7 Bengals have lost six straight, all of them by one score, and play the Buffalo Bills next. The Colts are 6-3 with their seemingly monthly trip to the New England Patriots on deck.
