The Redskins beat the Eagles in the teams’ first meeting this season in Philadelphia. Of course, the ‘Skins also knocked Eagles starter Michael Vick out early in the game with a rib injury.
Eagles Vs. Redskins: Why Washington Might Have Benefited From Hurting Michael Vick In Week 4
Vick showed right away in the second meeting why the Eagles might have missed his contributions through most of the Week 4 loss to the Redskins. On the opening play of the Monday night game in FedEx Field, Michael Vick rolled to his left and hit DeSean Jackson deep over the middle for an 88-yard touchdown.
Jackson was being covered by Redskins’ safety LaRon Landry, who had been shown clashing with Jackson during pregame warm-ups. Jackson has the early advantage on the field by easily toasting Landry on a long route.
