Eagles Vs. Redskins: Philadelphia Making It Look Very Easy Early In Washington
Inside the first five minutes of action in FedEx Field, the Eagles gained 151 total yards and two touchdowns. One of them was the result of one play: an 88-yard bomb to DeSean Jackson. The second was the result of a quick and surgical Eagles drive that went five plays for 63 yards and ended with a seven-yard Michael Vick scramble for a touchdown.
The Redskins, hoping for some sort of response to stanch the Eagles onslaught, turned the ball over. On a 3rd down pass play, Donovan McNabb seemed to hit Santana Moss toward the left side, but the ball went through his hands and into the grasp of the Eagles’ Kurt Coleman.
Now the Eagles are threatening to take a 21-0 lead before the ‘Skins get even 20 yards. Scratch that. Vick just threw a shuffle pass to LeSean McCoy for another touchdown. And there you have it.
