Eagles Vs. Redskins: With 28 Points, Philly Has Historically Successful First Quarter

The Eagles added a 50-yard touchdown run from Jerome Harrison and already their leading has expanded to 28-0 with minutes remaining in the first quarter of the Monday night game. Though Harrison splits some carries with LeSean McCoy, it’s almost as though Philadelphia can already give way to back-ups the way this is going.

The 28-0 score also happens to be the largest lead a road team has posted after one quarter in the history of the NFL. Yeah, that’s pretty significant.

To make matters worse, the Redskins have yet to notch a first down. And, because I can’t type this updates quickly enough, the Eagles have just apparently scored again on a 48-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin that is currently under review.
