Report: Colt Brennan Flown To Honolulu With Head Trauma, Broken Ribs

Former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs and head trauma in a serious head-on collision this morning in Hawaii. Brennan, a passenger in a car on the Big Island, was listed in serious condition this morning after the car he was riding in crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle.

Sporting News Radio host Todd Wright tweeted an update of Brennan’s condition. Wright said SMU head coach June Jones sent him a text message with some of the serious details. According to Jones, Brennan was taken by life flight to Honolulu for further treatment following the accident.

Jones was Brennan’s college coach at Hawaii before leaving to take the same position at SMU shortly after Brennan graduated. The two have maintained a close relationship and Brennan credits much of his success to Jones’ willingness to give him a chance at Hawaii.

Thoughts go out to Brennan as we continue to hope for the best for him. Stay tuned to our StoryStream for details as they continue to become available.
