Matt Hasselbeck suffered a concussion against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks Clearly Hate Matt Hasselbeck And His Brain
It's bad enough that head coach Pete Carroll says Hasselbeck intends to play this upcoming weekend. What no one seems to have taken into account is that Matt will be lining up against a New York Giants defense that has already knocked five quarterbacks out of a game so far this season. In fact, two of those three quarterbacks left the game with a concussion.
For his part, Carroll seems extremely concerned about Hasselbeck’s health. Which is to say, not concern in the least...
“He did get hit in the head, and had some headaches or something like that.”
Something like that. A headache, or, you know, HIS BRAIN MOVED IN HIS SKULL.
Hasselbeck was sacked eight times on Sunday and the Giants defense is just as sack-happy as Oakland. Throw in the fact that one of Matt's best lineman, Russell Okung, might still not be ready to return, and there's a decent chance that his "headaches" aren't going away anytime soon.
