It took a while for the Green Bay Packers to get going offensively, but back-to-back scoring drives keyed by big passing plays have erased a 3-0 Minnesota Vikings lead, giving the Packers a 10-3 lead in Minnesota in the second quarter.
Week 11 NFL, Packers Vs. Vikings: Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings Heating Up
Greg Jennings hauled in a 47-yard reception from Aaron Rodgers on the first of the two scoring drives, which helped to set up a 42-yard field goal from Mason Crosby that tied the score at three. On the following offensive possession, Rodgers found James Jones on a 39-yard passing play, then hit Jennings on an 11-yard touchdown strike to record the game’s first touchdown.
On the day, Rodgers has completed 9 of 17 passes for 140 yards, with the touchdown to Jennings, who has 71 receiving yards and the score. As usual, Rodgers is compensating for the lack of a Green Bay rushing attack; Brandon Jackson has just 21 rushing yards on six carries to this point in the game.
Brett Favre and the Vikings, who have already lost to Green Bay this season, take over looking for the equalizer prior to halftime.
